
What you need to know if your child has an additional need or disability
This workshop is aimed at parent carers who have a child or young person with Special Educational Needs and or disabilities (SEND).
Understanding the SEND system can be complex, but knowing your rights and the available support can make all the difference. This free interactive workshop provides parents and carers with essential knowledge about SEND processes, education support, and how to navigate services effectively.

This session is designed for parents and carers of children with SEND who want a clearer understanding of available support and their child鈥檚 rights.
What to expect
From the workshop, you can expect:
- a step-by-step guide to key SEND processes, including the Graduated Response and EHCPs
- information on accessing the right services and support for your child (including Health, Social care and Community services)
- practical advice on working with settings, practitioners, and local authorities
- a chance to ask questions and gain clarity on SEND rights and responsibilities

This is a two-hour interactive workshop with practical discussions and real-life examples.
