
How to check a draft Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
This workshop is aimed at parent carers in Herefordshire and 糖心vlog who have a draft Education Health & Care Plan (EHCP) or are expecting to receive one.
Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are a key tool in ensuring young people with SEND get the right support in education. This free interactive workshop is designed to help parents and carers understand what makes an EHCP effective, how to engage in the process, and how to advocate for their child鈥檚 needs.
Who it is for
This session is most relevant for parents and carers who are either new to the EHCP process or have a draft EHCP for their child.
What to expect
From our workshops, you can expect:
- step-by-step guide to EHCPs and the key components that make them effective
- how to request amendments and ensure the plan reflects your child鈥檚 specific needs
- guidance on working with professionals, including schools and local authorities, to get the best outcomes
- the opportunity to ask questions and hear real-life examples from other parents
